An interview with Philippe Ullens and Miguel Mendonçaabout crop circles' history, meaning, and experience. Philipe is a Belgian photographer who, for over 20 years, has been flying over crop circles in southern England and documenting them in a stunning collection of images. He is also the co-proprietor of The Henge Shop in Avebury, Wiltshire, England, deep in the crop circle heartland, and has explored the topic with thousands of other people drawn to experience them. He has collected some of his favorite images in the book Crop Circles: Beauty and Soul.Miguel is an author and musician who has worked with Philippe on a music video showcasing his photography. He has spent time in crop circles and with researchers on the topic. We will talk about their experiences in crop circles and their views on who makes them, how they make them, and most importantly, why they make them.
Miguel Mendonça has a background in forestry and horticulture, journalism, geography and history, social science, and the environment. He worked internationally as a researcher, writer, and campaigner on renewable energy, before becoming an independent researcher. He then published books on a range of themes, including ETs, hybrids, disclosure, the social history of the UFO topic, wisdom, and art and creativity. He now makes music full-time as sokamiru and has just released his fourth album, Portals.
